Hello @Cert-Team @Certificate Team,
Request #00571736
I encountered a highly frustrating and distressing experience while attempting my Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification exam, which I believe was an unethical process that caused unnecessary stress and disrupted my concentration.
I registered for the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate exam on November 25, 2024. Initially, the exam was going well, but I was soon interrupted by a system alert related to my eye movements, even when I was simply thinking about the solution, blinking, or looking up and down. Shortly after, another alert was triggered, and a proctor asked me to show my desk and room once again. Despite showing my desk and room multiple times, with no suspicious items present, the proctor decided to suspend my exam.
I would like to formally request an investigation into my suspended exam. I am more than willing to retake the exam at a certified exam center to avoid further issues like this.
I believe that the proctoring process should involve verifying the environment before the exam begins, as Pearson Vue does, rather than interrupting the exam in the middle and causing significant distraction to the examinee. The AI proctoring system in use sent alerts for trivial actions like blinking or moving my eyes while thinking, and eventually suspended my exam for no justifiable reason. It is unreasonable to expect someone to sit still for two hours without any eye movement or blinking.
I urge you to take appropriate action to improve the Kryterion AI Proctor system to prevent future candidates from experiencing such an ordeal and wasting their valuable time.
Thanks & Regards
Damian
