Replicating DBX Demo set in Databricks FREE tier?===================================================

Thanks for reviewing my threads. I like to replicate/port the Databricks Demo artifacts/set in to my personal Databricks FREE tier. I am getting some roadblocks.

I attended the recent one "Building AI Systems with Databricks: From Concept to Deployment" interesting.

Vocareum.com create catalog/data/schema under the hood and user name too created by vocareum . Some cells of the demo notebook not working as is in my FREE tier.

What are the changes to make in Databricks FREE tier for these demo notebooks to work?

How do I bring catalog/DB into my environment and link with subject notebook?

Are there any doc/whitepapers on this subject?

Thanks for your insights.

Hello @RIDBX , I’m not surprised that some of the actions you’re seeing through Vocareum don’t work in the Free Edition. When our training is developed, parts of it are intentionally tied to Vocareum APIs to support specific tasks and workflows. Because of that, what works inside Vocareum won’t necessarily work outside of it.

Put another way, much of our training courseware is designed to run within the Vocareum environment, and those same notebooks or actions aren’t expected to function in a standalone Databricks Free Edition workspace.

Hope that helps clarify things.

Cheers, Louis
